Our Mission
The London and Area Running Association (LARA) is a not-for-profit organization established to promote distance running as a lifelong activity and to facilitate the development of high performance athletes and coaches within the sport. LARA goals include developing Youth-oriented programming, ensuring the availability of racing opportunities, and increasing awareness of and participation in our sport at the grass-roots level. The LARA will utilize proceeds to help ensure high-performance athletes are properly supported in their pursuit of representing Canada internationally and competing at the Olympics.

Course Description
Routes are all certified, flat road courses around the Western Fair area starting and finishing just outside of the Special Events Building. One loop for the 5K and a double loop with a small out and back for the 10K.

For family registrations, you can register in-person as a family for the 5K and/or the 10K and receive a discount of $10.00 OFF per family member after the first fully paid family member. This is not available online. No discount will apply for family members running the 1K Fun Run/Walk however they can be registered at the same time.

Late Registration and Race Kit Pick-Up
Friday, February 15th Late registration and race kit pick-up from 1:00pm to 7:00pm &
Saturday, February 16th from 11:00am to 5:00pm at RUNNERS’ CHOICE.
Sunday, February 17th (race day) from 8:00am till 9:40am at Western Fair Special Events Building.
Timing Chip Pick-Up
Be sure to attach the timing chip matching your bib number around your ankle in all events using the velcro timing chips.
Timing chip pick-up will only take place on race morning from 8:00am to 9:40pm at Western Fair Special Events Building. Each runner must pick up their own timing chip using their race number as identification.
Now that we are using timing chips for all our events, it is important for event results and series points accuracy plus a courtesy to other competitors and event organizers that everyone pick-up their timing chip and use only the one that is assigned to them specifically. If anyone knowingly wears another competitors timing chip both runners will be disqualified from event and series awards.
Cool Stuff
The first 300 to register for either the 5K or 10K will receive a New Balance technical event shirt.
Event Photographer
Andrew Berdan photography will be on hand capturing the action and will post a photo gallery on their site after the event. All photographs are available for purchase on the site.

Directions & Parking
From the 401 take Highbury Ave north to Trafalgar St. Take Trafalgar St west to Egerton St. Turn onto Egerton St north. At Florence St go west. At Rectory St go North and turn right, which is main entrance to Western Fair parking lot and Special Events Building.
