Really Chilly Road Races
Never mind the thermostat: Real Canadians race when it's 'Really Chilly!'
All Pledges from this event will be going to the
London and Area Running Association
The London and Area Running Association (LARA) is a not-for-profit organization established to promote distance running as a lifelong activity and to facilitate the development of high performance athletes and coaches within the sport. LARA goals include developing Youth-oriented programming, ensuring the availability of racing opportunities, and increasing awareness of and participation in our sport at the grass-roots level. The LARA will utilize proceeds to help ensure high-performance athletes are properly supported in their pursuit of representing Canada internationally and competing at the Olympics.
Please help The London and Area Running Association (LARA) do more by collecting pledges and handing them in on race day. The top 3 pledge collectors will be given excellent prizes donated by our generous sponsors.

5k and 10k routes are all certified, flat road courses around the Western Fair area starting and finishing on the racetrack. Both races exit the tunnel from the horsetrack onto Dundas Street and go from Dundas St. to Ashland to King to Eleanor to York to Oakland to Florence to Rectory to King to Ontario to Dundas. The 10 km does this loop twice and the 5 km does the loop once.
The 1 mile and Kiddy Trot will take place on the racetrack.
Kiddy Trot This event is about 200 meters in length and is ideal for any child from 1 up to age 12. Parents are allowed to run along side any registered child.
Update: Unfortunately, the winter weather has delayed the finalizing of the new courses until very recently. We may not have a visual course posted online for 2014, but can confirm that the 5k and 10k routes will be certified courses measured by Bernie Conway, the same as all London Honda races.
